ISF (Importer Security Filing)
The Importer Security Filing (ISF), also known as the “10+2” rule, is a program implemented by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to enhance the security of cargo entering the United States by sea. It requires importers and vessel carriers to provide specific information about incoming ocean cargo before it arrives in the United States. The goal of ISF is to improve the ability to identify and mitigate security risks associated with imported goods and to enhance the overall security of the supply chain.
